Thank you message
just want to say thank you for you people (you know who you are) for praying for me continously, for listening to all my stories, helping me by giving Godly advice, loving me as a sister... being there when i feel so lonely and helpless
Personally, i couldn't ask God for more...it's so so encouraging that we as family in Christ can pray for each other, rebuke if we're doing something not according to the Bible, it's even more encouraging to know that we fight this race in this world not alone but together and we look forward till Jesus' comes back together too! :)
i know that man can be disappointing, but God alone is faithful.... I learnt that me myself is also like that, often i may be disappointing for other people, it just makes us realized how sinful and weak we are as a human.
I thank God for our faith in Jesus, that we love and care each other.... (and as i said, i only feel the true community of Christians while i'm here) let's continue this good works! and keep praying for our neighbour churches too....so in the end more and more people can see Jesus through our ministry...

Planning for summer holidays
Hi everyone! back with me...and yeah im on holidays atm....
my holidays have been quite busy because im helping my brother preparing His wedding and sending out invitations.... my house are quite loud atm, very contrast to last week's atmosphere, if you want to meet my whole big family, it's the perfect time to visit my house! hahah
having said that, i will also go back to Indonesia for summer holidays....it's in 2 weeks! i really can't wait for it!
Although, it means more temptations to actually become materialistic, and somehow because i have too much free time i tend to forget to equip myself with the word of God and just enjoy the freedom..
Thank God though, there are some people that keep supporting me in prayers and encourage me to keep reading the Bible throughout the holidays..
On the other hand, i am also excited to catch up with my highschool friends...there's many of them that i would like to catch up with! it's been ages since we laughed, went to school together and joked around! time really flies....
Christmas are coming really soon too! i always like Christmas, it's a great time to reflect on my life throughout the year, praying to God and thanking him for what have been happening....another great joy to actually being reminded that we as a Christian can rejoice because of Jesus! praying to God though, that people around the world can have a true meaning of Christmas and not being deceived by the materialism of the world (*especially during Christmas there's a lot of discounts and sales in many shopping centres) and people tend to lose the focus of Christmas itself.
This year, i am thankful that i will be also going to visit Japan for about a week! i'm sure it will be a great time for me to spend more time with my family (*although my brother wont join us anymore coz he's going for his honeymoon) yeah i am looking forward to it because Japan is one of the countries that i really want to visit...Hopefully my parents will enjoy their time and rest as well as me and my sister.
Then i will be back to jakarta and this year, Pelita will held another mission in Jakarta....i think it's gonna be a week...this is actually going to be my first time doing mission in Jakarta...pray that it will be a good time and opportunity to share our faith in Christ to our friends in Jakarta...all for the glory of HIM. praying to God though that we can be humble and loving in serving others....also understanding their struggles in Christian life because indeed it's even harder to be a Godly Christian in Indonesia....(indonesia is a muslim country btw)
i always love holidays, even though sometimes i get frustrated if things don't seem right and maybe debate might be happening over stuffs...i thank God because it's the time for me to practice my patience towards others especially people who are hard to be loved....*it does not mean that i never complain...as a sinful human, offcourse i often complain about it too! thank God though that i am comforted and strengthen because of what i have in Jesus!
Yeah hopefully, you will also enjoy your holidays (*if you have one) and if you're not, spend a little bit of time to reflect on this year, what has been happening, what can we thank God for, things we want to achieve next
year and offcourse to have rest because it's very important especially in our relationship with God and His people.
God bless!

weekends updates, uncertainties in life, great reminder from the Bible, and prayer points!
Hello peeps! it's monday night...ooh actually Tuesday morning (12.39 am) and i am still awake...entah kenapa semenjak liburan mulai, pola tidur nya jadi ngawur hehe
my weekends were great! i enjoyed getting to know with music team people and meeting God's people at church on Sunday, then we had sushi dinner! it was so much fun making heaps of sushi(s) with different fillings =)
Here are some of the pictures:

Here are some of the pictures:
Andrias, James, Chopin, Cika,Yenli and me making funny faces

Me and Tofuuuu =D
Yeay it was great....Thank God for great weather, great fellowship and most importantly for clear Bible teachings from the book of Romans! i always love my weekends and you know why ;)
Despite all of these great things, last week i've been having so much to think..(lgi bnyak pikiran) and somehow i feel there's so many uncertainties living in this world...but then i realized that these uncertainties actually came from the expectations of the worlds that i try to achieve...like hoping to get into good course at uni, hoping that the course that i take will be good for career etc etc....(*it wont stop if we continue to think this way) until i come to the realization of how selfish i am!
Last Sunday's talk was a great GREAT reminder and rebuke for me personally, i realized that we as God's people who have been crowned with Grace too often forget the purpose of our lives in this world. We often put God aside and instead we try to satisfy the world's expectations! when we know that the purpose of our lives, our sins and salvation and everything that happen in this world is really for the GLORY of God.
The talk can be found at www.pelita.org
This website will tell you about my church, what we're doing and the podcast of past talks! Hope it will be helpful and encouraging for you...
Prayer points for this week:
-Pray that i will be reminded to be a God centered person
-Pray so that i can continually to be thankful with what i have and be Godly
-Pray for people who are travelling so that they can keep safe *another problem with Qantas plane :(
-Pray for Christians around the world so that they will be reminded the purpose of their lives is for God's glory only
-Pray for people in general who are having their exams, working, uni, and even holidays =)
Have a great week people!
much love,
FL

BUSY period
Hi all!
me again after few weeks hasn't been blogging...I've been quite busy with uni works and overwhelming exams...i am somehow feel so anxious especially for my accounting exams...the first exam i had was quite ok...i am quite pleased with what I've done and all the efforts i've put in...thank God for perseverance =) hehe
i have my accounting exam in 3 days and i know i am still NOT ready...I've been staying up late to study and wake up early so that i can get a good spot at UNSW library and study effectively...(eventhough i still dont get why uni is quite full already even at 8am in the morning!) which means i have to wake up even earlier tomorrow =P
God has been good though...during this busy, stressful period, people around me are just being so thoughtful and encouraging...thanks people for the prayers =)
Another thing to thank God for is the time I can spend with others to dig into the Bible, and it's great to be reminded again from God's words....
Last Friday, during Pelita Bible Study we looked at the book of Malachi, we're up to the last chapter of this book and it's been great! The book tells us about Israelites and how they treated God unpolitely and disrespectfully.. and shows that God is instead should be feared! While on the other hand we know that He is good and JUST =)
In chapter 3, it shows the contrast between the people who feared the Lord and people who are evil...it shows the characteristics of each. From this, the book of Malachi then shows the rewards
"16 Then those who feared the Lord spoke with one another. The Lord paid attention and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before him of those who feared the Lord and esteemed his name. 17 “They shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, in the day when I make up my treasured possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him. 18 Then once more you shall see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him."
we as His creation should fear him, it's a great rebuke for me personally of how sometimes i think do small sin is not a big deal...while it does show how rebellion we are as His creations. We too often not fearing the Lord and put Him aside...while in this book, we canclearly see how the wicked will be cursed and in the other hand, there is encouragement for doing the right thing..because God will remember us and we will become HIS treasure possession. isn't it a great encouragement, especially for us who believe in God's promise?
For our God is good and He never change!

How can this be?
1. How can this be?
Creator in creation.
The King of Kings
Upon the earth he made.
He spoke a word
Creation stopped and listened to his voice
O man of men,
The perfect life you gave.
2. O sight of sights!
A hill outside a city.
The Lord of Lords
Is hung upon a tree.
The world is dark,
The light of lights is dying on a cross
Jesus my Lord
Sinless made sin for me.
3. There in the tomb
His body lay in waiting.
The Lord of Lords
Is silent in the grave.
Then joy of joys!
The news that he is risen from the dead
The death of death,
He lives until this day.
4. O hope of hopes!
Our bodies raised eternal.
Transformed, renewed
The night of sin has passed.
To this we’ll wake
With hearts now pure and thankful evermore
And our dear Lord
We’ll see him face to face.

This song tells us how great is God since the creation... All the creation are made by one Man, the King of Kings who spoke through words and we're given life.
In the second verse, the song introduces Jesus, who made sin because of us...
In the third verse, it tells us the victory that jesus has risen and he lives until this day
Last but not least, the song encourages us about hope that we have in Jesus...how the risen Jesus make our body to be renewed and transformed. Sin has no longer be our slaves, we are thankful and look forward till Jesus' coming back !

Things to pray:
- Ask God for again facing these weekdays with Godliness
- keep thanking God eventhough the situations are sometimes hard
